I love this paper pieced pumpkin quilt. It was a fun and easy block to put together and will make a great fall decorating quilt. If you haven?t paper pieced before, don?t be intimidated by this project. If you can count to 10 and sew a straight line, you can do this block!
Sewing machine with neutral thread
Orange fabric: 7 different fat quarters
Black fabric: 4 different fat quarters and also 1 solid black fat quarter
Sashing: ½ yard
Binding: 1/3 yard
Backing: 1 yard
I will provide the green fabric for the stems. Also, I thought it would be fun if you wanted to share your fabrics with others in class for more variety in your project. Up to you. I have given you fat quarter requirements. If you have yardage, just bring that, no need to cut it into fat quarter size. In first class we will start making pumpkin blocks. In second class we will build the quilt.
