Saturday October 14, 2017 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Because two special people asked for this project, I am offering this sweet class. It was so much fun to pick out my tree and background fabrics. And by adding the wool truck, just pure joy when I look at this quilt. I have a thing for red pick-up trucks!! This class will be a two part class. We will meet to start working on our trees and discuss what needs to be done beyond that during class. At that time, we will also, as a group, pick our next meeting date. This is an easy project but logistically we can?t get it all done in one day. I will be providing all the wool you need for your truck but you will need to bring your fabrics for the trees and backgrounds. Since I am providing the wools, I will just give you a supply list for the fabric requirements. I can?t wait to decorate with my quilt this winter. I already have some ideas as to how to accessorize!! Supplies: Sewing machine with neutral thread Rotary cutter/ruler 1/8 yard brown fabrics for trunks of trees yard green fabrics for trees (this can be several pieces of fabric and also scraps will work for variety of different trees) yard tan and cream fabrics for background (again, these can be a variety of fabrics) 1 yard tan fabric for borders 1/3 yard of green fabric for binding 1 yards tan fabric for backing If you have green scraps, they should be at least 5? x 6? pieces. If you have tan scraps for the background, they should be at least 5 ? x 7?. Tree trunks are 1 ? x 1 ? if you want to use scraps for those. Class Fee: $40 (two sessions) Dates: Group 1-September 23 & October 14; Group 2-September 5 & September 27; Group 3-October 17 & November 7 ? all classes 10am-3pm Pattern fee separate: $8.00 (if you need one, please let me know so I can place one big order)
